When I started learning Java many years ago, I thought that that would be the end of programming. I didn't imagine any other feature one could add to Java. But as a matter of fact, after spanning some years Java enriched with many features such as Aspect, Annotations, Generic Types and so on and now it is evident the possibility of replacing it with other newly developed programming languages such as Ruby or Groovy.

There is a major difference between structured programming languages such as C or Pascal with Java. They are coming from different philosophies of programming. Repeating this question for Java and Groovy the first question brings into mind is that: what is the difference between Java and Groovy. Are there based on different paradigms of programming? Are there features supported in Groovy which java lacks? I gonna give response to these questions in near feature as I increase my knowledge about Groovy.
